John Miller Named as New Brand Director
November 27, 2007
Winter Park,
Fla. – Terry
Snow, CEO of Bonnier Corporation, has announced the hiring of
John Miller as Brand Director. In his new role, Miller will be responsible for
defining all the ways Bonnier Corp.'s brands touch readers, including print,
the Web, custom publications, demos and events.
"Bonnier has strong niche products. Creatively rethinking
and repackaging these brands will make them even more valuable to readers. This
might mean a print redesign, a rethinking of website functionality, developing
a custom publication, or one of each. For the reader, it means they'll get more
focused, more valuable content delivered to them in the format that is most
relevant," says Miller. "The idea is to create a vibrant connection
between the brand and the reader. One that advertisers will notice."
Most recently, Miller started his own studio, focusing on
online strategies for corporations and media companies such as Target, the Wall Street Journal and Amazon.com. He
has also developed publications for Oracle, The
New Yorker and Bank of America.
Prior to starting his studio, Miller opened the West
Coast office for Roger Black's Interactive Bureau. His work involved the
groundbreaking redesign of MSNBC.com which became the number one news site on
the Web. Miller has also worked as an art director at Esquire and Vanity Fair.
Bonnier Corporation (www.bonniercorp.com)
is one of the largest consumer-publishing groups in America, and the leading media
company serving passionate, highly engaged audiences, through more than 40
special-interest magazines and related multimedia projects and events.
