Howard Roth Named New Vice President of eMedia


New York, NY – Bonnier Corp. has named Howard Roth its vice president of eMedia. Roth joins the company in this newly created position from Ascend Media. There he reenergized Ascend's digital effort, launching 14 new sites and rebuilding16 additional sites within his first year.

At Ascend, Roth also increased traffic by more than 300 percent on existing sites, authored educational and training programs for editorial and sales staffs about how to be great in the online world, and boosted online sales by nearly 1,000 percent in his first 12 months.

Prior to Ascend, Roth served as group publisher and head of new-product development at Primedia. Roth's past positions also include editorial director at Thomson Corp. and COO of Internet startup Commodity Network.
